Lollipops

Old-fashioned lollipops are easy to make when you use a modern paper wrap

Step 1
Mix the cream, treacle and sugar in a pan and cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it congeals when a small drop is placed in cold water. Add the breadcrumbs and cook for a few minutes longer before mixing in the crushed almonds.

Step 2
Cut some SAGA Cooking Paper into small sheets (approximately 15 x 15 cm) and fashion them into cones. Place the cones in a sugar-filled bowl to ensure that they stay upright.

Step 3
Pour the mixture into the cones and add the sticks. Allow the lollipops to set in a cool place.
